UniGardens and vibrant local area of Belconnen

UniGardens is located within walking distance or a short bicycle ride from Belconnen town center with dozens of amenities, including Canberra University, shopping centers, markets, cinemas, restaurants, sports facilities, parks, lakes, landmarks and more. Westfield Shopping Centre

Our local Belconnen Westfield Shopping Center provides retail space for around 225 shops of all kinds,  including such majors as Myer, Woolworths, Coles and Hoyts. For more information, please visit Westfield Belconnen.

Belconnen Markets

Home to a truly multicultural community, UniGardens are surrounded by restaurants of any kinds and calibre suitable for every budget and taste, from cheap fast foods to luxury places with a la carté menus and views. Thai, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Turkish, Japanese, Australian cuisines, plethora of cafes and bars, all within 5-15 minutes walk from UniGardens doorsteps.

UniGardens is surrounded by parks with lakes that provide perfect scenery for walking, running, jogging, cycling and other physical activities to keep our students fit and energized. 

Sports and Aquatic Centre (CISAC)

The Canberra International Sports & Aquatic Centre Centre officially opened on 12 January 2004. Comprising of over 12,000 meters square of health, fitness and leisure under the one roof. CISAC is open Monday to Friday 6am to 9pm, Saturday & Sundays 7am to 7pm. visit CISAC

Medical Facilities

Calvary Hospital

Located 1.6km away from UniGardens, it is both public and private hospital. Residents nearby are able to use the facility for a large number of conditions such as in-patient services, ambulatory care and outreach facilities and services including emergency. The hospital also serves as training ground for students coming from the Australian National University, the University of Canberra and the Australian Catholic University. Medical Centres

General Practioners (GP) are the first people to seek medical advice before requiring specialist care for non critical conditions. There are a number of GPs in the immediate area. The University of Canberra also has a doctor on campus.
